Gilman Brompton Bag

The Gilman bag is designed and built to accompany you and your Brompton folding bicycle through urban centers as well as when you’re exploring beyond city limits. Here in Seattle, the Burke-Gilman Interurban Trail winds from the historical fishing neighborhood of Ballard and gestures eastward toward pastoral farmland and the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range. We thought it the perfect namesake!

The Gilman bag integrates with the Brompton bag frame, which is available for purchase with your Swift Industrie’s baggage. The bag frame is required to mount the bag onto the Brompton Front Carrier Block (not sold at Swift Industries). The Swift Industries bag is compatible with the M,H,P, and S Type Models.
The body of the Gilman is one large compartment that is vinyl-lined to endure rainy days. Five external pockets allow for organization and simple access to your personal belongings. In addition to the handle that the Brompton frame provides, our bag is equipped with dee rings for a shoulder strap. Design your bag to compliment the colors of your folding bike. While you're at it, add a matching small Trunk Saddle Bag to your purchase, the Gilman loves good company.

Swift Industries thinks it’s important to say that our Gilman Bag is not a Brompton endorsed product, and that we suggest that you do not load your bag heavier than 10kg (that’s 22.046 lbs for those of us who don’t speak sophisticated metric)—so this time leave your dutch-oven at home!

Measurements: 16"Wx12"HX6"D and has an 11" roll top which is covered by a flap.

Main Body Capacity: 20.45 L (sans roll)

Features: Two fastex buckles close the flap, and each bag has reflective tape on the flap and a webbing tab for a blinky light. The Gilman has two side pockets with velcro closures, and two rider-facing pockets adorned with an easy fastening system for access while riding. There is a zip pocket in the front beneath the flap.

The main compartment is vinyl lined and weather-resitant.

The Gilman attaches to the Brompton stiffening frame with three secure velcro tabs.
