Dear Seattle: It is my pleasure to announce a new little shop and space dedicated to bicycles on Capital Hill! If you haven’t yet, swing by Scenic Drive on Pike Street! They’re hosting an indoor holiday craft fair come December 11th and 12th! See you there.

Scenic Drive is a cycling paraphernalia design collaboration between Nikki Mazzei + Rachel Ravitch, who met as members of the Seattle bike dance performance group the Bicycle Belles. Inspired by Seattle’s urban cycling culture and the love of finding second-hand materials, Scenic Drive’s goods are all remade from salvaged parts found locally.

At the Scenic Drive E. Pike Factory, Mazzei + Ravitch hope to create a community hub that encourages cycling and creativity alike. Drop in daily, 11am to 7pm to rent a sewing machine by the hour (or by appointment). Attend vibrant evening and weekend workshops hosted by local artists and designers. Take part in art openings, community bike rides, and performance art. Come enjoy our inviting creative space located at 611 E. Pike St., Seattle, WA 98122. Become our friend on facebook (Scenic Drive E. Pike Factory) for updates and invitations to fun community events! Contact Scenic Drive at: scenicdrivefactory@gmail.com
