This limited-edition run of 4×6” handmade field books from Mordecai Book Building is a Dovetail exclusive! Each book was printed on a Vandercook #4 letterpress featuring Wyatt Hersey’s Dovetail Peregrine illustration on its cover. Each book contains 48 striking Sunlight Yellow pages with rounded corners.

Flying along with the Dovetail flock is Mordecai Book Building, the hobby-turned-profession of Wisconsin-based bike lover, Tobie DePauw. Tobie learned the craft “from a grumpy communist” while living and working in Costa Rica in the early 2000’s. Mordecai Book Building’s contribution to the collection is a gorgeous limited-edition run of 150 handmade 4×6” pocket books. Each was printed on a Vandercook #4 letterpress and made with a 3-color 100-lb “Packing Chip Kraft” cover, containing (48) 60-lb “Sunlight Yellow” pages with rounded corners. The cover and pages were produced in Michigan by French Paper Company, before being printed, assembled and finished by hand at Mordecai Book Building in Madison, WI.
