Merlin Randonneur Bag

Having the right organization for your endurance event is key and with the Merlin Randonneur Bag you can configure your optimal set-up.

The Merlin Randonneur Bag is a front-mounted bicycle bag that sits on a traditional randonneur rack and is further stabilized by the use of a decaleur. What sets it apart from its predecessor, the Peregrine Randonneur Bag, is the addition of MOLLE modular attachment points, giving you the option of choosing a Rando Pocket and Sidekick Stem Pouch to add as rider-facing pockets.

The Merlin Randonneur Bag is made out of recycled polyester and contains roughly 12 to 14 plastic bottles rescued from polluted rivers.

The Merlin Randonneur Bag takes the classic French handlebar bag design and pairs it with modern textiles to bring you the lightest traditional randonneur bags on the market. The Merlin Randonneur Bag is installed at the front of the bicycle on a small front rack and attaches to the bike using a decaleur. A favorite of long-distance cyclists, randonneur bags make for more efficient riding by keeping gear accessible while on the move. The Merlin Randonneur bag is held in place with four velcro straps (on the bottom), an webbing loop that secures to the randonneur rack’s tombstone, and a decaleur. Be sure to check the Rando Lexicon for guidance and installation instructions. This is a more involved bag to install, but pays off with secure attachment for confident riding on even the roughest roads.

Rack and Decaleur sold seperately.
