The Swift Team is heading out on a solstice bike overnight Tolt MacDonald Campground
If you’re a Seattle area local we’d love to have you join us.
The Nitty Gritty:
The Date: Saturday, June 23rd–returning on Sunday June 24th
The Meet-up spot: Infront of Husky Stadium in the University District
We’d love to have first-time bike-campers along. Please join us if you’re physically comfortable cycling 20-30 miles, and are confident road/traffic riders. We ask that you bring along your own repair kit (patch kit, tube, tire irons, and pump), many of us have experience with basic bicycle repairs. We’ve got camp space for 16 cyclists.
RSVP: Please email info (at)builtbyswift.com by Wednesday to confirm you’re coming along!
We’ll be heading out on the Burke Gilman trail toward Woodinville and then meandering along the Snoqualmie Valley, or through Redmond toward Carnation WA. Day 1 will be about 45 miles.
Our return will follow the Mountain to Sound Green Trail through Fall City, and Issaquah. The homeward route will be about 30 miles.
The Tempo: Will be steady but relaxed. Please be ready to adjust to the pace of the group, and understand that a group is only as fast as its slowest cyclist. We’re here to relish the adventure. We love brewery stops, and packed lunches. Will stop at farm stands, or to check out landmarks and interesting distractions along the way.
