Friends on Bikes-Milo McIver State Park
Friends on Bikes organized an overnight bikecamping trip to Milo McIver State Park in Oregon for women/tran/femme/non-binary people of color. Half of the route was on well known Portland bike paths, the Springwater Corridor, Esplanade and Trolley Trail. The other half of the route took us through scenic back roads, farmlands and along the Clackamas River. With our group of 11, for most this was their first bikecamping trip and longest bike ride ever. Whether you’re an intermediate rider looking to go on your first bike camping trip or a rider who’s looking to explore different areas in Portland, this is a classic route that everyone should try.
Start/End: Portland, OR
Milage: 72mi
Duration: 2 days

Car-Free Ski to Sea-Wet Boyz Style
Imagine riding with a dozen or more of your best friends from Bellingham, WA to the Mt. Baker Ski Area. Instead of sporting a slick minimalist setup, you’re hauling a canoe littered with empty beer cans or you’ve strapped skis, boots, and ski poles beneath the stoker of a tandem. After a weekend of classic bike camping high jinks and climbing 4,300 ft., the WetBoyz of Aslan Brew must finish one last detail…competing in the Ski to Sea Race Car-Free Division.
Start/End: Bellingham, WA
Milage: 150+/-
Duration: 3 days

Washington Outback 2.0
A three day solo bikepacking adventure on the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route in late May 2017. Gorgeous ridgeline scenery on a lonesome and fantastic route. A stop in Wenatchee to eat pizza and get out of the woods for a while was included. Riding this early in the year meant no other off-road users were encountered, but there was snow on the route. Rule 5 was observed frequently.
Start/End: Lake Chelan to Ellensburg, WA
Milage: 127mi
Duration: 3 days
