Now in it’s ninth year, Swift Campout is a global call to adventurous spirits, encouraging people to pack up gear and pedal to their favorite camping spot during the summer solstice. The event weaves together communities from all over the world and showcases each communities’ distinctive love affair with cycling. To capture the magic of the event, we’ve called upon a handful of shops and individuals to design an overnighter that takes folks to their favorite local site– those tasked with leading the rides are called, Navigators. Each Navigator will have their own feature that tells a bit about them and their Campout.

Say howdy to Campfire Cycling, a trailblazin’ bike shop located in Tucson.

Hi, Campfire! Tell us about your shop!

Our mission is to empower all Tucson cyclists and communities by making cycling and bikepacking more accessible. We do this through our Tucson bike shop which specializes in bikepack outfitting. Our ecommerce business serves to share what we do beyond Tucson and allows for more stability and sustainability in our niche focused bike shop.

What does Swift Campout mean to you?

Sharing the joy of bikepacking with our Tucson community and all around the world.

Can you tell us a bit about your Campout this year? Anything meaningful about your route and why you want to share this with your community?

Tucson based bikepacking for the summer solstice can be a little tricky. To meet the challenge of the Swift Summer Campout, we’ve come up with the Lemon-Top Traverse, a route designed to maximize the high elevation options offered up on Mt. Lemmon.
