Swift Industries-Voluntary Recall 9” Swift Straps

Swift Industries-Voluntary Recall

9” Swift Straps

Dear Swift Customer,

Swift Industries, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, is voluntarily recalling the 9” Swift Strap. The reason for the voluntary recall of 9” Swift Straps is related to a material handling / assembly anomaly in manufacturing that resulted in warranty issues (breaking) in a small number of units. The rubber straps that fasten the bicycle bag to the bicycle can break, causing the bag to come loose and fall, posing a crash hazard and injury hazards to the rider.

While it’s unlikely that your straps will break, we don’t want to take any chances with your safety. We ask you to discontinue use of them

Affected Models

The 9″ Swift Straps have been an included component only on the following models purchased between March 1, 2022 and July 2022:

  • Zeitgeist Pack
  • Catalyst Pack
  • Kestrel Handlebar Bag
  • Bandito Bicycle Bag
  • Handlebar Foam Spacer Kits
  • Individually sold or supplied 9” Swift Straps

The 9” Swift Straps in question are easy to identify – they are 9” long, made of black rubberized material, and feature a fox beside the black buckle.
