Swift Campout is the annual, global call to go bike-camping to celebrate the solstice. For the eleventh year in a row, adventurers will pack camp gear on their bicycles and head out on June 21st and 22nd, 2025 to kick off summer with a bike-overnight.
Swift Campout is an ode to spending the longest day in the saddle, to the shortest night under the stars and to the stellar community that rallies to share this stoke. Join us!

Swift Campout Cedar Rapids is on, folks. Let's go campin!🌙 We're loading up our bikes Saturday, June 21st and cutting loose for the annual summer solstice overnighter for our 9th-year runnin', and of course, you're all invited. Rally the crew, pack the stuff, and join us for an easy-goin' cruise out to Morgan Creek Park where we've got a cozy group site primed for some campfire camaraderie and R&R under the stars for the night. 🧭 Choose from either the 17-mile (round-trip) paved CHILLER route or the 40-mile mixed-surface THRILLER route we've queued for the day. Both routes launch from the shop by 11am and land at our group site at Morgan Creek Park for the night. You know we've planned a few chill stops on route, including a bar-food luncheon out in Atikins, and maybe a visit to the new bird preserve off Ellis rd. Be sure to plan and prepare for a fully self-supported ride, friends. Bring plenty of water and snacks. Bug spray too!🦟

Terrain Mixed paved and gravel
Difficulty Level Easy - Great for newcomers to bicycle touring who are comfortable on the road and ready to expand their skills. Terrain will be mostly paved with some hard packed gravel/dirt rail trail routes.
