The Catalyst Pack is a beautiful mid-capacity handlebar and saddle bag. A more compact option than the Zeitgeist Pack, the Catalyst’s trim profile allows for more tire clearance and narrower drop bars. The fitted flap sheds the elements and boasts a small flat zipper pocket for quick access essentials like your ride wallet, chapstick and a snack. Utilize the flap’s daisy chain of webbing to thread a Bungee Booster and stash a layer. The rigid plastic insert offers structure and support for your load. This compact and rock-steady pack is a great option for shredding some gravel and makes a great edition to a lightweight bikepacking rig.

The Catalyst Pack is made in Surabaya, Indonesia and Seattle, WA out of Challenge ECOPAK 100% recycled polyester. This pack contains roughly 10 plastic bottles rescued from ocean beaches.

Practical, Wonderful

It's light, looks good, and is really easy/intuitive to use. Would recommend!

Bag go far. Inner cinch broken, waterproof coating worn out, still keeps electronics 'moist but not broken' in days of sustained rain. Was at one time 5 shades darker color and 95% waterproof. Slightly larger bag flap and more robust inner membrane would help. Abrasions from bar rub and some battledcars. All in all good bag, probably 2x more than I would pay for such a bag realistically in this ekonomeh

Lacks design

I do like it for small trips but as mentioned by others the front flap doesn’t cover the bag when it’s loaded? Other designs have an extension flap or a ‘hidden flap’ that extends when the bag is full. For the price point, the design should have included this to make sure the whole of the insides were protected by the weather.

Other than that, I change it from my Claud butler to my salsa to my surly so it’s pretty cool.

Like Hermione Granger's magical bag

This bag is so big I lose stuff in it. Seriously. It usually lives on the bars of my Specialized Diverge for daily commuting and weekend gravel rides, but occasionally gets slapped onto my Surly Krampus bars for bikepacking (see photo). Super easy to swap between bikes. The Diverge kinda lacks personality generally but not when this fat turquoise sucker is on it! Impress your snobby alt-bike friends by slapping this bag on your rig and filling it with beer and ciggies. The side pockets fit a can of beer perfectly. This thing rips even when it's packed to the gills (once again, see photo). Fave bike purchase of 2024 hands down.

I love putting my things inside!

Easy to take on and off my bike and has so much room for all my knicks and knacks.
