2025 Swift Campout: Ride to the Bleau, New Orleans LA

Swift Campout is the annual, global call to go bike-camping to celebrate the solstice. For the eleventh year in a row, adventurers will pack camp gear on their bicycles and head out on June 21st and 22nd, 2025 to kick off summer with a bike-overnight. 

We’re pleased to introduce you to Ride to the Bleau with Dan Patterson

A ride from the south shore of Lake Ponchartrain to the north shore. Ride starts Fri. morning in City Park and returns on Sunday. Ride runs through the Rigolets and along the Tammany Trace Trail to Fountainbleau State Park. 

The Route 

Distance 106 Miles Round Trip

Terrain Mixed paved and gravel 

Difficulty Level Easy - Great for newcomers to bicycle touring who are comfortable on the road and ready to expand their skills. Terrain will be mostly paved with some hard packed gravel/dirt rail trail routes.

Destination Fountainbleau State Park

Cost $44 to reserve camping (2 night minimum)
