Rawland Cycles was founded in 2007 by Sean and Anna Virnig in prime Minnesota gravel country, with a focus on adventure by bike, exploring backroads and trails, and pushing the boundaries of cycling. Rawland was among the very first to build all-road bikes around the revived 650B wheel size, with clearances for fatter tires. Beyond his passion for cycling dirt, gravel, and pavement, Rawland founder/designer Sean Virnig is also Superintendent of the California School for the Deaf in Fremont. Rawland is now headquartered at the base of Mt. Diablo, outside San Francisco, a perfect testing ground for bikes and a great launchpad for cycling adventures. Skål!
