Our Story

Swift Industries is a four-person bicycle pannier company in Seattle, Washington. We design and hand-make bicycle panniers and accessories from the very first snip to the very last bolt. We love bicycles, relish adventure, and have deep admiration for high quality handcrafts. Swift Industries is the perfect project for us to fuse all three. We see ourselves as a team of designers and makers that offers a contemporary take on lasting design. We choose modern textiles to meet the urban cyclist's growing urge to explore beyond city limits. We are flirting with the new generation of long distance cycling enthusiasts. We are looking for a playful and clean take on classical cycling soft goods. As makers, the process of designing and building is a dialogue between imagination, the tools we use, and our environment. Designing increases our sense of place, and our environments enhance our design process. The Big Picture for Swift is to rethink the values that our cultures assign manufacturing and work.
