Part-Time Retail Customer Service Associate 

Position: Showroom Sales and Customer Care Position

Type: Part Time

Hours: 21 hours a week

Wednesday thru Friday 4-7pm, Saturdays & Sunday 11-5pm

Swift Industries has a rare position open for a person to work in our showroom.  

We are looking for a person who is warm, can gracefully multi-task, is an active listener, and who is delighted to be in service of others. The Retail Sales and Customer Service person must:

  • Be an outstanding host
  • Have great organizational skills
  • Be a stickler for aesthetics and cleanliness
  • Be independently motivated with a collaborative sense of productivity and achievement
  • Have experience in customer service
  • Demonstrate investment in the bicycle and outdoor industries
  • Demonstrate bicycle mechanics skill and strong competency in randonneur, gravel, and bike-camping parts components and configurations.
  • Serve as a resource for the best riding in the area

 

Associates role and responsibilities include

 

  • Independently opening and closing the Swift Showroom
  • Working with in-store customers
  • Serving pour-over coffee and refreshments during open hours and events
  • Providing high quality customer education
  • Serving as the phone receptionist during open hours
  • Providing technical support for our customers
  • Being a five-star host
  • Scheduling services such as wheel building and part installations
  • Managing inventory
  • Staffing occasional off-site promotional events
  • Handling the Swift Headquarter’s social media
  • Communicating brand events and promotions
  • Leading and attending brand rides and social events

 

This position requires the use of computers and online software.

Technical knowledge of bicycles, bicycle travel and associated outdoor gear is required.

This position requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Sales and Customer Service Staff may expect to travel for work.

Three month trial period before long-term hire.

Sales Associate

Position Title: Sales Associate

Hours: Variable schedule 10-20 hours a week, flexible schedule Monday through Friday, between 9am and 5pm

Location: Swift Industries, may work remotely ½ time once fully trained

We are looking for a Sales Associate who will help us strengthen our wholesale and distribution program. As we build our dealer program, we are looking for a Sales Associate with bicycle and outdoor industry experience, proficiency in relevant bicycle and outdoor industry trends, and a love for mom and pop shops.

We are looking for a person who is wholeheartedly inspired to bring Swift Industries products and the culture we’re building to customers worldwide. This position is sales driven, has its foundations in relationship-building, is part strategist and thrives if you are in-tune with our brand culture. We are looking for someone who is on their bicycle, fly-fishing, travelling and exploring, when not found at work.

The ideal Sales Associate candidate must

  • Demonstrate strong writing and computer skills
  • Be a stellar communicator (yup, that means listening too) on the phone as well as in-person
  • Love people

  • Be metrics driven
  • Have great organizational skills
  • Balance an independently motivated work pace within the larger scope of our brand’s achievements

Sales Associate’s Roles and Responsibilities

The Swift Industries sales team’s core goal is to increase Swift Industries’ reach through product sales and distribution. The Sales Associate works collaboratively with the product and marketing teams to introduce Swift Industries to our growing wholesale and global customer community.

The responsibilities of this position include

  • Dealer relationships and wholesale management
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to meet and exceed target sales goals
  • Identifying and approaching new customers (individuals, dealers, regions and market segments).

This position requires the use of computers and online software. Candidate must be proficient with Google Docs, Excel, E-commerce and online shipping software.

Sales Associates may expect to travel for work.

Three month trial period before long-term hire.

Sales experience is preferred.
