Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining and advancing the operations at Swift Industries. The Operations Manager has oversight of Purchasing and Supply, Shipping and Receiving, and Facilitiesand works with our core leadership squad to actualize our company vision.
At Swift Industries, the Operations Manager creates, maintains and advances company-wide organizational frameworks and best practices, and trains the core leadership team in the implementation of these systems across departments.

Roles and Responsibilities
Oversees Purchasing & Supply, and Shipping & Receiving
Manages Standard Operating Framework at Swift Industries
Works across departments to:
Identify frameworks and methodologies for Swift’s workflow management
Routinely evaluate and refine SOP’s
Routinely evaluate and advance the tools we’re using
Trains all managers on revised and new SOP’s
Monitors the long-term effectiveness and relevance of SOP’s

Manages Swift Industries’ Organizational Frameworks
Manages best practices and organization in our project management software
Manages filing and organization framework in our digital filing system
Builds and manages company-wide project management framework

Qualifications
2 years experience in Project Management
A demonstrated understanding of the role and responsibilities of Operations at Swift Industries
Proficiency with spreadsheets management
Demonstrated ability to gather and compile data that asks the right questions for the right puzzles
Demonstrated ability to analyse and communicate data to a range of audiences

Bonus Qualifications
Experience working within an ERP
Experience in Inventory Management
Experience in Lean Manufacturing
Experience and investment in Intersectional Anti-Oppression Work, either professionally, personally or both.

Hours: 20 hours a week 

Thursday and Friday 3:45-7:15pm, Saturdays & Sunday 10:45am-5:15pm

We are looking for a person who is warm, can gracefully multi-task, is an active listener, and who is delighted to be in service of others. The Retail Associate must:

Role and Responsibilities

  • Independently opening and closing the Swift Showroom
  • Working with in-store customers
  • Providing high quality customer education
  • Serving as the phone receptionist during open hours
  • Providing technical support for our customers
  • Being a five-star host
  • Scheduling services such as wheel building and part installations 
  • Managing inventory
  • Staffing occasional off-site promotional events
  • Managing the Swift Headquarters social media
  • Communicating brand events and promotions
  • Leading and attending brand rides and social events

This position requires proficiency with computers.

Technical knowledge of bicycles, bicycle travel and associated outdoor gear is required. 

This position requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Sales and Customer Service Staff may expect to travel for work. 

Three month trial period before long-term hire.
