The Catalyst Pack is a beautiful mid-capacity handlebar and saddle bag. A more compact option than the Zeitgeist Pack, the Catalystâs trim profile allows for more tire clearance and narrower drop bars. Utilize the flapâs daisy chain of webbing to thread a Bungee Booster and stash a layer. This compact and rock-steady pack is a great option for shredding some gravel and makes a great edition to a lightweight bikepacking rig.

FIT-CHECK
Handlebar width compatibility: 30cm width
Step 1: Measure the spacing of your handlebars, inside-to-inside, at the hoods.
Step 2: If you have integrated shifting, enlist a friend to engage the levers fully into the center space between the bars, and measure the space from tip-to-tip.
Clearance (height) specs for use at the handlebars and on the saddle
Youâll need a minimum of 10â (25.5cm) of space between your bicycle handlebars and the top of your front or rear tire to use the Catalyst Pack without a support or rack. Keep in mind that a weighted down pack may sag into the wheel, and pay attention to avoid abrasion.
With a rack: As little as 6.5âł (16.5cm) of clearance is required to run the Catalyst Pack on the front with a Carradice Universal Bar Rack. Note that the Carradice Bagman Support is not compatible with the Catalyst Pack.

Happy birthday, Martina! Hope you had a great day! Per your request via email, here is a second Catalyst review with photos. I had previously bought the newer Catalyst Pack in coyote during your sale. I later came across a deeply discounted older stock Catalyst Pack in black. Great decision on my part because I donât have to move the Catalyst from bike to bike! It fits everything I need on a long day ride, including my U-lock, tools, hand pump, keys, wallet, and Kleenex that I store in the pouch. I come from the mountain biking side of cycling. I used to look like other mountain bikers with the hydration pack. It gets sweaty and uncomfortable as the hours go by. With the Catalyst Pack, I donât have to carry anything âon my person,â as the cops like to say. FYI, I know this because I used to be a newspaper reporter, not because Iâve been in trouble with the law! My sons say I ride more now that I am liberated from my backpack. Admittedly, the newer Catalyst seems more durable, but for the price I paid, the older model is just as great and a screaming deal.
I usually hate handlebar bags, but this one changed my mind. It's light, compact, and spacious, and, best of all, unobtrusive. Except for grocery runs, this is my new go-to bag for everything.
Love this bag. I use it for my hydration bladder and snacks on my long gravel rides!!
The bag feels high quality but the design doesn't seem very field tested.
Could use an interior pocket in the main pouch. The internal draw string system is okay, not super quick to access items inside. The two clip system on the front is also pretty cumbersome. The bag tilts forward and I'm unsure if there were instructions on how to mount it so it stays a little more upright. This is my first real handle bar bag, to be fair. A little frustrated I had to pay extra for the additional bungie cord. Overall I think its over priced, which I know is hard to hear.
Unfortunately never received my package and both company and shipping canât help me!
