At a svelte 7.5L, the Catalyst Pack has easily made its way onto our top-seller list as a go-to gravel adventure bag. Riders with less clearance and narrow handlebars now have a stellar option for stowing gear on their handlebars and under the saddle. Add carrying capacity to this item with aBungee Booster.
The Catalyst Pack is a beautiful mid-capacity handlebar and saddle bag. A more compact option than theZeitgeist Pack, the Catalyst’s trim profile allows for more tire clearance and narrower drop bars. The fitted flap sheds the elements and boasts a small flat zipper pocket for quick access essentials like your ride wallet, chapstick and a snack. Utilize the flap’s daisy chain of webbing to thread aBungee Boosterand stash a layer. The rigid plastic insert offers structure and support for your load. This compact and rock-steady pack is a great option for shredding some gravel and makes a great edition to a lightweight bikepacking rig.

Really enjoying this bag for my biking adventures in the city and on trails. It carries a lot and fits well. No wiggling and looks great too :)

Can’ fault it
I use my Catalyst to carry shoes and clothes on my 20km each way commute.
It fits neatly on my 58cm drop bar gravel bike with plenty of clearance to my front wheel and my shifters. The top of the bag is low enough that I haven’t had to change my out front Garmin mount or my bar mounted headlight.
I’ve been really impressed how stable the bag is when riding. There is no bouncing or swinging, even on the couple of short off road sections of my commute.
Great job Swift

Catalyst Pack review.
I really like the catalyst saddle/handlebar bag. I’m kind of a traditionalist and have always used and have numerous Carradice saddlebags which I like. This is the first “modern” saddlebag I’ve used and I have to say there are real improvements over a traditional saddlebag.
The attachment using the stretchy rubbery straps is much easier and more secure. Also the simple attachment for the seat post or head tube using stretch cord works quite well. Of course the bag is also much lighter.
The coyote color is nice and actually goes quite well if you want to mix this bag with other more traditional waxed canvas bags.
