I got this bag in November 2023 and have had the chance to use it a few times since getting on my gravel bike for the winter. There is a bit of a learning curve to using this bag if you've never used a saddle bag before, but after a few days using it you'll quickly be able to open and close it without thinking about it much. The way the bag is constructed is nice - the lower portion which sits under the saddle is a stiff material, so it holds its shape well, while the upper portion is expandable as needed. It's easy to just cinch up or loosen the straps as you add or take away items. The mesh pocket is also great for holding snack wrappers or anything you want quick access to.
The best thing I can say about this bag is that I forget it's even on my bike until I need to use it, which is probably the best thing you can say about a piece of gear! No complaints here. Right now I'm just using it for long day rides, but I plan to use it on multi-day adventures and I have no doubt it'll be a nice addition to my arsenal for that too.

As Advertised
Just completed a 250 mile 5 day bike packing trip using my new Ollie Pack Seat Bag, Hold Fast Frame Bag and Side Kick Bottle Bag and they worked as advertised. They fit solidly on the bike with no excess movement and provided easy access to all my equipment. Discovered it was much easier to load the seat bag after it was installed and would encourage you to think about making the side straps a couple of inches longer.

Olliepack Seat Bag
Have just completed an island weekend bikepack trip as well as a 150km 2-day ride and this is the exact volume and fit I needed to make a slight expansion more comfortable on road and gravel. Love it!
Still figuring out best way to attach the bag back on when loaded (need to do with one-directional travel vs. door-to-door) as clasps a bit difficult to thread under seat even with pull tabs (what design genius). Also would love another 1-2 inches in side closure clasps.
Overall, perfection in a sweet seat bag.

Tidy Package
The Olliepack has taught me a new level of efficiency. I used to sweat packing gear into appropriately sized stuff sacks and then cram sacks into bags. Well, with the Olliepack, I’ve discovered stuffing my down quilt, puffy coat, inflatable pillow, and beanie directly into the Olliepack and using the compression straps of the bag to snug all of my insulation into a tidy package to access at the end of the day. It’s not too big and doesn’t become too unwieldy. And I’ve found almost 100 uses for the underneath mesh pocket. Furthermore, strapping a layer into the straps is totally legit.
