The Catalyst Pack is a beautiful mid-capacity handlebar and saddle bag. A more compact option than the Zeitgeist Pack, the Catalyst’s trim profile allows for more tire clearance and narrower drop bars. The fitted flap sheds the elements and boasts a small flat zipper pocket for quick access essentials like your ride wallet, chapstick and a snack. Utilize the flap’s daisy chain of webbing to thread a Bungee Booster and stash a layer. The rigid plastic insert offers structure and support for your load. This compact and rock-steady pack is a great option for shredding some gravel and makes a great edition to a lightweight bikepacking rig.

The Catalyst Pack is made in Surabaya, Indonesia and Seattle, WA out of Challenge ECOPAK 100% recycled polyester. This pack contains roughly 10 plastic bottles rescued from ocean beaches.

I used this to cycle 7000kms from Portugal to Iran and it is still in perfect condition (albeit a little grubby).

Catalyst for Adventure

Love the smaller bag but can still get plenty of gear into its confines. Use it on the handlebars around town and pair it with its big brother Zeitgeist for longer adventures.

wonderful

It's great for the handlebars of my Rivendell roadini, and it's also great as a saddle bag. It has just the right carrying capacity for commuting or overnight rides. The teal color makes the slightly plain color of the bicycle cool and bright, making you feel good.

I wish it opened so you could get access from the cockpit , opposite of how it does.

Swift Industries Zeitgeist Pack Generally Pretty Good

If you want a large front bag, that is well made, expandable, easy to mount on the bike, and attaches securely, this may be it. My only gripes (and this applies to many other bike mounted bags) is steps required to open the bag - unclip the 2 front buckles, unclip the interior buckle, and release the drawstring. Second, I wish the bag was waterproof. With all that, I decided not to use this bag for bike packing. However, I very happily use it on every bike for grocery shopping, and to go to the gym. Contents are in another thin a bag so easily pulled out. I love the side pockets, too. And I must say, I love how the bag looks. So I would recommend this bag as well made and very useful to me.
